India Tree Baking Sugar Product Photography

I first met the team at India Tree when I attended the summer Fancy Food Show in New York City. Upon approaching their booth we immediately connected, which is why I was thrilled when they reached out about hiring me for some product photography. Their baking sugars are among some of their most popular products, and they were looking for some updated images.

Together we agreed to channel a high-end feel using marble, subway tile, and wood accents. The use of additional props was minimal and intentional so the sugars themselves could really shine through in the images. Each sugar has a beautiful, unique texture and we wanted to be sure to capture that! Although we styled the products on primarily white surfaces, we agreed that the editing should have a slightly moodier feel to differentiate India Tree from similar retailers.

In addition to photos for their website and social media, we also captured two images for website and Amazon storefront banners as well as two gifs. The gifs were particularly fun to capture as a way to show the products beyond the traditional still images. Motion is always an exciting element to add on to a photography package and this project was no exception! I’m thrilled with how the final deliverables came out and I’m already looking forward to our next shoot together.
