I first met the chef and owner of Chez Mike, Michael Cohen, when I visited his restaurant in 2021. The blood orange margarita won best drink in the 2021 Besties and I was sent on assignment to shoot it. Mike was incredibly friendly and we hit it off right away, which is why I was thrilled when he reached out to ask about some restaurant photography for Chez Mike. During our initial planning call, Mike told me he was redoing his website and needed some new photos. I was more than happy to visit his restaurant again to photograph his delicious food. With its dark interiors, large bar with ample seating, and staff that greet guests by their first name, Chez Mike is an upscale, neighborhood favorite that should be on every persons list of restaurants to try.
